salaam
just a query I go to an womans prison and read the nammaz loudly with the women.
I do not lead or do jamaat we do our own niyyat i just read out aloud so that the new muslims can follow me easily. Is this permissable in Islam??

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu All Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon Our Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'Allah for your valued question. If you are praying your own Salaah in a loud voice then this is not permissable. You should read your own Salaah silently, and those who are the new Muslims can simply follow your actions. The words can then be taught after Salaah, for example the Fatihah and the I khlas, but not during Salaah. According to some Jurists, women can also pray Salaah behind a women Imam, but no men behind a woman Imam. The women, may pray behind a man, as her position will be last, amongst the lines. Salaat tul Tasbih is a form of Salaah that women pray in their homes, and they sometimes do so in Jama'ah, this is perfectly permissable, and is not objectionable. I hope that this has answered your query that you enquired about. There are further answers i have given to question related to Women and Salaat in the Archives section. Please do not hesitate to ask again if you have any further questions relating to this or any other matter. May Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) give us all the tawfiq, to pray five times Salaah, and may He make us firm upon it. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
