'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu!
My close relative is trying for a baby. Her husband and she have been married for almost 5 years now and have been trying for a baby for the past 3 years. They have seen good doctors and the doctors say there is nothing wrong with either of them. They are both young and healthy and there is no problem on either side of the families.Yet my relative hasnt been able to conceive. What do you think is the cause/reason for this? and secondly, is there any dua/amaal they should do for having a baby soon.I would also like to add that they are both good muslims and pray regularly.
your help and answer will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,All Praise be to Allah, who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa, (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'Allah for your valued question. Sometimes it maybe that Allah the Almighty, has not destined a certain couple to have children together, therefore they cant have children. Nevertheless, no matter how hard one person tries, they can never change the will of Allah the Almighty. There is a dua you can pray its called Dua-e-Zakariya (alayhi asalam) : ''Rabbi laa tadharni fardan wa anta khayr ul-waaritheen''
(O my Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors) And you may also pray: “Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibatan innaka samee’ al-du’aa’
(O my Lord! Grant me from You a good offspring. You are indeed the All-Hearer of invocation) The best thing to do is to become close to Allah the Almighty, by praying five times salah, and praying the Qur'an al kareem, and being conscious of the fact that Allah the Almighty has given us everything else, and He will eventually give us a child as well. To have belief in His power (qudrah), is something which previous Prophets (alayhim as-salam) have had. This will then become a Sunnah of theirs which will become even more virtuous. May Allah the Almighty help us all and give us patience, when needed the most, and may He fulfill all of our supplications, that we make, for His pleasure, (Amin).Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
