Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
Can you please suggest some dua or wazeefa that I could pray to cope with my naughty 7 year old son. I often find it very hard to cope with my son's attitude. He tends to harrass his cousins and sister, copies his elders and answers back to them. He just doesn't listen to anyone. I tend to lose my temper and sometimes feel down too.
I would appreciate if you could provide me something that would help me cope with this situation. Please could you also let me know whether you're able to pray the suggested dua/wazeefa during the state of haiz.
Jazakallaho Khair.

illahir Rahmanir Raheem[/center] Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,All Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam) Jazak'Allah for your valued question. When one is feeling down, or loses their temper, one should suddenly recite the 'Darood Shareef'. There are numerous 'Darood Shareefs' that can be learned and recited, for example: 'Allahumma salle 'ala Sayyadina wa Mawlana Muhammadiw wa 'ala aale Sayyadina wa Mawlana Muhammadiw wa barik wa sallim'. This is a common 'Darood Shareef', which almost everyone knows, and may be read in any state. 'Allamah Ghulam Rasul Sa'idi states in his 'Tibyan al Qur'an': 'It is forbidden, to recite the Qur'an al kareem for an impure ( junbi) or a menstrating woman ( ha'idhah), whether it is one verse, or smaller. However, it is permissable for an impure person ( junbi), or a menstruating woman ( ha'idhah) woman to think of the wording of the Qur'an al kareem, in her mind, without using words. Hence, there is a consensus of the majority of the Muslims, that an impure person, and a menstruating woman may recite the ' tasbih' (Subhan'Allah), ' tahlil' (la ilaha illallah), ' tahmid' (Alhamdo lillah), the 'Darood Shareef', and all the other rememberances of Allah ( adhkar), and recitations ( waza'if).' I hope that this view is sufficient for you, and that you will be able to use the prescribed method, in order to benefit yourself, from any hardships that you may have. Once again Jazakallah for your question, and may Allah the Almighty keep our tempers at bay from us, and may He give us the tawfiq, to recite as much Darood Shareef' as possible.Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
