Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. Please realise that any lifestyle, that are contrary to the lifestyle of the religion of Islam is false. That includes any lifestyle associated with drugs, and so forth. Allah the Almighty says:
'Innadina indalahil Islam'
'Indeed the religion that is preferred by Allah is Islam'
Thus, to revert back to the religion of Islam, from a non-Islamic lifestyle, is to change the clothes, appearance, hygiene, and the lifestyle as a whole.
Although you have asked for
wazifahs and
du'as, nevertheless, the biggest, and the greatest, and the most unchallengeable wazifah is
salaat. The brother should at this stage change, or make an effort to change his lifestyle into an Islamic one, and he should make a treaty, a pact, a promise with Allah the Almighty, that
'Oh Allah, if I lead a life of what you have prescribed, then please free me from all addictions, hardships, sufferings and so forth.'He should in turn recite as much of the
Qur'an al kareem as possible, especially in the month of
Ramadhan. This is the month in which he can practice to
fast, so that he may overcome his addiction. People are addicted to food more than anything else, but in the month of
Ramadhan, even they give up this great addiction, and why? Simply for the sake of Allah the Almighty.
Concentration and focus upon the
Darood Shareef should be made abundantly. In addition one should supplicate using his hands to Allah the Almighty, asking for forgiveness from passed actions, so that in future, there is no position in returning to what sin had been committed. Families and friends should also portray a good understanding of him, and try to help him in the manner prescribed. Allah the Almighty is the All Hearing, the All Merciful.
Since it is the 'shaytan' who indulges people into such acts, one should recite the Third
Kalimah abundantly. In addition, he should try to make a journey far from this wretched place, where drugs and alcohol is overtaking our fellow brothers. One should try to go to '
Umrah' or the
Hajj, where no drugs or alcohol is necessary, where only the intoxication of the love of Allah the Almighty, and His Blessed and Most Beloved Messenger
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is enough.
This last point is a crucial point, since no drugs or alcohol is available in such a place, by the blessings of Allah the Almighty within a few weeks, the addicted person shall change for the better. Recitation of the verse ....
'La tahzan inallaha ma'na'
'Do not grieve, for Allah is with us'
..... should also be recited, as any part of the Qur'an al kareem, if recited in the correct manner, and with sincerity, is enough to make the heavens listen. This is just the beginning ....
Please do not hesitate to contact me, if any further asisstance is required. My
du'a goes out to the one involved, and to all those who are close to him, and around him.
May Allah the Almighty forgive us for our misdeeds, and may He make an easy way out for all those who are faced with such problems. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
