Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved andFinal Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. One of the most best things to read for the deceased person is plenty of kalimah shareef. In addition, you may recite the four ' Quls', the fateha, Qur'an shareef, and everything else which carries reawrd, like the third kalimah, du'as etc, which you can then convey the reward for your father. You can also try to make a khatam, every Thursdays, using this method. You can also convey the reward for any nafil salah, for your father as long as you fulfil your own duties (five times salah) first. The reward for anything which carries reward will reach your father, however, it is up to you to perform this, on a regular basis. Wallahu A'alamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
