Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam Hadrat Abu Hurayrah Radi Allahu anhu states that the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam had appointed me in safegarding the 'sadqah-e-fitr'. Then someone arrived and took a handful. I siezed him, and stated that I would take him into the presence of the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. Then the rest of the hadith was stated. In the end the thief stated that when you go to your bed, then recite the 'Ayat-al-Kursi', as Allah the Almighty will protect you wholly, and the devil will not come to you until the morn. Upon hearing this, the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said "He has stated a true fact, although he himself is a liar" He was the Shaytan. (Bukhari, Kitab bad'il khalq, chapter entitled 'sifati iblisa wa junudi hi' ('Iblis, and his army'). Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
