Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,All Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon Our Most Beloved and Final Messenger of Islam Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)Jazak'Allah for your question. To see a scarf in a dream, has been quoted by Hadrat Ja'far Sadiq (
Radi Allahu anhu), to have many meanings. Here are a few:
1) Honour and rank
2) Sainthood
3) A child
4) Wealth
5) Piety
6) Wealth
7) Profit
8) Knowledge
9) Religion
10) A sword
Hadrat Ibne Sirin (
Rehmatullahi ’Alaih) has said that to see a shawl in a dream means the piety, station, and honour of a person. If it is a clean shawl, then it means that he will gain the ranks mentioned. And if he sees the opposite of this, it means that his station will lessen. If he sees that that material has been burned, or ripped, it means that one of his close ones shall die.
Hadrat Danyal (
Alayhi 'Asalam), has said that to see a scarf in a dream means the integrity, and power of the faith of a person. if he sees that the scarf is clean, it means that he will pass the entrustment, and if he sees that it is dirty, it means that he has to entrust something to someone.
Hadrat Jabir Maghribi (
Radi Allahu anhu), has said that if one sees the white scarf in a dream it means that he will have a chaste boy (child), and if he sees a red scarf, it means that his son will be a lover of worldly desire, and if he sees a black scarf, it means that his son will be a scholar ('
alim), a judge (
qadi), or an Imam (
khateeb).
For the second part of your question in relation to a masjid, then Hadrat Ibne Sirin (
Rehmatullahi ’Alaih) has said that to see an established mosque is a scholarly man, to which a lot of people come for advice. Allah the Almighty says:
'Wa masajida yudhkaru fihas mullahi kathira'
'And in the Mosques there is the rememberence of Allah, in great abundance.'
Hadrat Ibrahim Karmani (
Rehmatullahi ’Alaih), has stated that if he sees that someone has stopped him at the door of a Mosque, it means that he will inflict hardship (
zulm) upon him. And if he sees that he has prayed there, yet his face was not at the direction of the
kibla, then this has a bad interpretation. If he sees that he has washed his face and hands in the Mosque, it means that he will spend his wealth in that Mosque, and he will arrive at his means.
Hadrat Ja'far Sadiq (
Radi Allahu anhu), has stated that to see a masjid in a dream, is based on 12 things:
1) Kingship
2) Qadi
3) Scholar (Alim)
4) Wealth
5) Imam
6) Khateeb
7) The caller to prayer (mu'addhin)
8) Masjid
9) Head (Amir)
10) Goodness and blessing
11) To marry a woman
12) To carry out a good deed
If he sees that he has made his way to the Masjid on a Friday, it means that the common people shall recieve goodness and blessing from him. If he sees that he has gone into the masjid, it means that he will be in tranquility, from fear. Allah the Almighty has said:
'Wa man dakhala hu kana amina'
'And whoever enters it, shall remain in peace.'
May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq to lead Islamic lives, whether we see dreams or not, and may he not make us take our dreams for granted, and prevent us from perfoming false deeds. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu Biththawaab
