Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Can you explain this hadith please. Does this mean even the greatest of sinners will eventually receive Allahs mercy and be allowed in the lowest part of jannah ?
Abdullah ibn Masud, Radi Allahu anhu, narrated that the Prophet, Salla Allahu alaihi wa Sallam said:
“I know the last person who will come out of Hell and the last one to enter the Paradise. A man comes out crawling and Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) says: Go, enter the Paradise. Then he approaches it and it appears to him as if filled, then he returns back and says: O Allah, I found it full. Then Allah says: Go, enter the Paradise. He approaches it and it appears to him as if filled. He then returns back and says: O Allah, I found it to be full. Allah says to him: Go, enter Paradise, you have what is equal to the whole world and ten folds (or, you have what is equal to ten times this world). He then says: “O Allah, are you mocking me (or laughing at me) while You are the King?” Ibn Masud said: I saw the Prophet, Salla Allahu alaihi wa Sallam laugh till his molar teeth were seen. Abdullah stated that the Prophet Salla Allahu alaihi wa Sallam said: “That is the lowest rank of those in the Paradise.” [Al Bukhari and Muslim]
And how long can these fasiq people expect to stay in jahanam until Allah tala releases them ?

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu This Hadith is a great hadith to study. It shows the extensive knowledge that Allah the Almighty, has bestowed upon His Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam). It means that the Muslims, no matter how much sin they were involved in, nevertheless their last abode shall be paradise. But before they enter paradise, they will have to undergo their punishment in hell for thier sins. Whether Allah the Almighty wishes to forgive those people who have minor or major sin is entirely His decision. This is His forgiveness, and His affectionness, that He allows in paradise whom He wills, and sends to hell whom He wills. Out of those people who have committed the major sins, and these can be studied in the al-Kaba'ir, will be those whom Allah the Almighty give punishment. The Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam), will be interceding for each and everyone of these people until all who were from the community of the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam), are taken out of hell, and placed into heaven. This is what this hadith-ash-shareef is relating to. That the Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) will know who they are, what sins they had committed, how long they will be in hell, and when they shall return from hell, into heaven. This shows that no matter how grave a sinner may be, as long as he did not commit 'shirk' with the Almighty, believed in one Allah, and His Beloved Rasool (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam), that he will eventually receive Allah the Almighty's Mercy, and will be allowed in the lowest parts of Jannah. I hope that this is a satisfactory explanation of the Hadith quoted by yourself, and that if there are any other issues, in relation to aHaadith-e-Mubaarikah like this one, that you will not hesitate to contact me again.
