Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
jazakallah for your reply about the question i asked regarding what my dad has benefited from passing away on shab barat. It has put my mind and heart to rest knowing my dad is very lucky to have passed away on a holy day. I also wanted to ask a few other questions, first of all i wanted to know that when a person passes away does their spirit meet other members of family that have also passed away before them, because my dads mum passed away 15 years ago and my son also passed away 4 years ago, will they all be together now? please can you also tell me if the person that has passed away stays the same age or do they grow and get older eg. will my son still be 9 mnths old or will he be 4 and half?
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. Your father has now transferred from the 'world of being' to the 'world of souls.' To be connected to the 'world of souls' one needs a great deal of struggle, obedience, worship, greatfulness and sincerity etc. This world is different to ours. The 'world of souls' has no time limits, no ages, and they can travel to wherever they like and whenever they like. They do meet other souls, souls that they have known, and souls that they had heard about. They will remain in 'alam-al-arwah', until the 'Day of Judgement.' Since this is a very extensive and sensitive subject, people have different views of this, and depending of how deeper your belief is, your question can only be answered by yourself, once you study a few books in relation to the souls and spirits. You may also study some tafsirs of the Qur'an al kareem in relation to the verses revealed on souls, and see what the different scholars have said, otherwise it would be very difficult for me to answer your questions. As far as ages are concerned, then these are eternal, for as long as they were made for, as the bodies are just a shell, which ages along with time. How can an eternal substance be constrained into time? I hope you will make a study of this interesting topic, and that you will come to a few answers, for your questions. I have forwarded a link to a newly constructed webpage on this subject for an easy level of understanding. [See Below] Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
