Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, A Brother has started an excellent idea of posting a different durood sharif everyday, during the month of Rabbi al-Awwal and has asked members to recite it as many times as possible each day. Inshallah, the sawaab for these will be sent to Aqa Muhammed (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam). Subhanallah! Click on the following link to take part: Durood SharifI am not sure whether a woman who is in the state of Haiz (menses) is allowed to pray Durood Sharif that is going to be sent as eshale sawaab. I have asked the Imam about this and awaiting his reply.

A brilliant idea I am sure a woman can read any darood whilst in haiz and send it for sawaab but to be sure we must wait for the imams answer.

I am not sure whether a woman who is in the state of Haiz (menses) is allowed to pray Durood Sharif that is going to be sent as eshale sawaab. I have asked the Imam about this and awaiting his reply. Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, Sr. Nomee and Sr. Salma, you were both right. Women are allowed to pray Durood that is going to be sent as eshal-e-sawaab. I got the follwing answer from the Imam: Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)
Jazak'Allah for your question. It is permissible (ja'iz), for a woman, who is in a state of menstruation, to convey the reward of whatever has been recited, to the forementioned people.
Since the conveying of reward, does not involve touching the Qur'an al kareem, entering into the Mosque, or praying the Qur'an al kareem, it means that she is only forwarding what has been recited and prayed to those who have been deceased. There is no formal ruling upon this, that a woman cannot convey the reward, as is mentioned in the the books of fiqh, but if someone else who was not in the state of menstruation, could do so.
This is not a difficult question to answer as it is straight forward. If there are any other questions that you would like to ask, then do not hesitate to ask.
May Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) give us all the tawfiq, to say what is true, and do what is true.
Wallahu A'lamu Biththawaab[/i] M. Waseem Ashrafi[/color]

A Request to ALL Sisters:There are only 2 whole days left to recite Durood Sharifs on the Blessed Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) and gain blessings and sawab. Please can you all pray as much Durood as possible and exceed the target of 15,000. We are currently on 12,625 so if we all pray a little bit, we may exceed, if not reach this target. The thread will be locked on Sunday 30th April after Zuhr. The total duroods read will inshallah be sent as eshale-sawab to our pyare Habib Muhammed (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa'aalehi wa Sallam) and all other Muslims that have passed away at the giyarween shareef fatiha held at Al-Karam Mosque in East London. Click here and scroll down the page to find the latest Durood. Jazakallah.
