i've come across a new petition that i think we should sign.

it's to stop GP surgeries from changing their numbers from local 01 or 02, to 0870 and 0845 meaning you will get charged more to make an appointment and there will be longer queuing times on the phone as the doctors make money out of this too.

this is a hardship on those that can't afford to call non-geographic numbers and it's silly anyway why should you be paying more money to call your GP for an appointment?

i urge all you brother's and sister's to sign this petition as i'm sure you've been in the situation where you've been on hold for 5 mins only to finally get through and be told "surgery can you hold the line please?"
