Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuIt is reported that Hazrat Omar (Radi Allahu anhu) used to say: “Whoever spends a third of his wealth on perfume is not being extravagant.” I came across this hadith, i was quite surprised at the extravagance of the purchase of attar, but then again it emphasises the importance of cleanliness and appearance for muslims, particularly when we are ready to face Allah Rabb-ul Izzat for salaah. There is nothing better than praying next to somepne who has made an effort and smells of nice oud or atarr.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Allah (SWT) said, "O you who believe! When you intend to offer prayer, wash your faces and your hands (fore-arms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles…" (Al-Ma'idah 5:6)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuA good topic. The explanation and actions now explain how utmost care should be taken when performing wudu. Even if your namaz is perfect, your wudu could make it worthless if you dont follow it exactly. Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuWudu, the Partial Ablution Declare the intention that this act is for the purpose of worship and purity. Wash the hands up to the wrist three times. Rinse out the mouth with water three times. Cleanse the nostrils of the nose by sniffing water into them three times. Wash the whole face three times with both hands—from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the chin, from ear to ear. Wash the right arm three times up to the top of the elbow, then wash the left arm. Wipe the whole head from the forehead to the back of the neck one time with a wet hand. With wet fingers, wipe the inner sides of the ears with the forefingers and their outer sides with the thumbs. Wipe around the neck with wet hands. Wipe the two feet up to the ankles, three times, beginning with the right foot. (If shoes and socks or stockings are on and and socks or stockings have been on since last performing the ablution, it is not four hours, the socks or stockings should be removed and the feet washed.)

Easier said then done, but I always find that its easier if you think of yourself as a rope in a tug of war being pulled one way by this materialistic world and the other by the afterlife (presumably a good afterlife). Sometimes the duniya is stronger and yet other times the akhirah is stronger, the best thing to do is strike a balance and that is the maxim at which all muslims should aim. i.e. to gain the best of akhirah and the best of this duniya. The way to do this is to continually self-evaluate and see how you act compared to HOW YOU SHOULD act. I admit I have a hard time doing this but isnt that the whole aim of life, trying to achieve a balance? I would disagree, striking a balance is giving in to your nafs. Look, im no angel, but i know whats jaeez and whats not, so compromising isnt the answer, if thats what you meant bro ?

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
This is how important we should study and take to these ahadith when the beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) said :
''I have left you two things, and you will not go astray as long as you hold them fast. The one is the book of God, and the other the law (Sunnah) of His Prophet."

There are some classic videos of these manazeres with Allama Asad sahib online in various places. You should upload them to your media section. You will learn more from these videos than from reading books. They are very educational just to see how the wahhabi mind works exactly. Well these debates are good to see and are very refreshing, but reading and studying books are just as important if not more beneficial in the longer run. Well i think the debate just shows up the wahhabis as hot air, no evidence, no facts just plain old BS. By the way Abdul Rafiq you can gain knowledge bt reading and listening to debates, it works both ways.

I agree one should always try to walk to the mosque if possible. But i think it would be easier said than done sometimes if you live in the west where anti muslim feelings are high. We still have to be careful esp during Isha and fajar when the sharabi are coming out of pubs and clubs. Agree just not quite the same thing going for Isha in urban Manchester than in urban Karachi.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
A warning to those who refrain from giving Zakaah
Almighty Allah says;
1. " On that day their treasures will be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads, sides and backs will be branded therewith. (They will be told) This is what you had hoarded for yourselves. Now taste the penalty of such hoarding. " Al-Qur'an : 9:35
2. " And those who are miser in what has been given to them by Allah, by His grace, should not think that it is good for them; on the contrary it is bad for them. The riches they have piled up shall become their necklace on the Day of Judgement. " Al-Qur'an : 3:180

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Another translation of Surah Baqarah "To Allah [God] belongeth the east and the west; therefore, whithersoever ye turn yourselves to pray, there is the face of Allah; for Allah is omnipresent and omniscient. They say, Allah hath begotten children: Allah forbid! To him belongeth whatever is in heaven, and on earth; all is possessed by him, the Creator of heaven and earth; and when he decreeth a thing, he only saith unto it, Be, and it is." Allahu Akbar! The Quran no matter what the translation sounds and reads the way it should be -enchanting and beautiful.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Allaho Akbar a great post. Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu. Upon this Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) ordered Rasulullah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) to challenge them to Mubahala so Rasulullah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)said " if you do not believe me then come on and let us make mubahala that is let us say May Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) damn him who is lying" This commandment of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala)is cited in; ( 61st Ayat of Sura Aal-e- Imraan.) They then took leave. Divine intervention would have put paid to them. One of them, who was named sherhbali and called 'sayed' by his colleagues, convened them and said. "He evinces all sorts of qualifications that would make him a Prophet. If we made mubahala with him we would certainly incur a catastrophic scourge that would not devastate not only us but also all your descendants." Looks like the one with knowledge ''sherbali'', darent question the truth, and face the consequences. So being afraid to make mubahala they said "O Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)we want to remain friends with you we will give you whatever you want, let us trustworthy person among your sahaba accompany us back home and we shall give him our Jizya (taxes)" They then took leave. Verdict - There is only One God, save Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah

This sort of thing gets me very angry, because they dont do their research before they make any judgement.
Its double standards, america has the evil electric chair, hangings, lethal injection, they used to have public hangings, they use to have death and firing squads and still do. American givt is the biggest munafiq on this planet.

Mashallah Good Post "God has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects), the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of God's praises. Such is the guidance of God: He guides therewith whom He pleases" [Surah Zumar Verse 23] Ameen.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I think it all depends on your version of integration ?
My version is that we are different cultures, after all Britain is a multicultural society ?
If you look at west Indians, they dont have any problems they have integrated because they are christian, and their lifestyle and values is the same as the white christians and atheists. We are not, this is my version of integration, its purely religious and cultural. Our lifestyles cannot mix.
