Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuThere was Milad un Nabi event yesterday in East London which my family and I went to. It was amazing! Alhumdulillah! We arrived at the masjid at 8.15pm. MashaAllah many people of all ages and different backgrounds attended. There were also members of the Christian and Sikh faith present. The event commenced with the beautiful tilawat of the Qur'an. There were several talks (in Urdu and English) delivered by various people and recitation of naath and dhikr, which got everyone emotional. Following this, just after midnight, the men did the ziyarah of the mueh mubarak. While this was happening the women began tucking into the food that was provided. Once the men had done the ziyarah, it was the women's turn and the echoes of durood shareef being read with love and sincerity radiated through the rooms of the masjid. Very spiritually uplifting! SubhanAllah! There was a second session which would end at fajr salah but we had to leave at 1am. Jazakumullah khair for reading. Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I will share about 12 rabi ul awwal
My in laws are here from lancashire, i went shopiing to get tea lights and after maghrib my daughter lit them.
I made halwa and did fateha and then we as family read darood e paak.
After children going to sleep I had ghusal and read nawafil and I read sipara's I stayed awake till 1am then fell asleep. My alrm went off at 4am and i read darood and did dua at fajar time read fajar namaaz and got ready for work.
In evening after asar we had mehfil at Mosque for sisters but it was very busy and very good we sat and read naaths and darood shareef young girls and boys read Quran e paak too I left around 6.15 I met up with Global mod sahiba and her friend Nasreen too which was nice.
I came home my husband had done fateha and we had meal and more darood e paak.
Thank you for reading and it would be nice if some more people write what they did on 12 rabi ul awwal.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Jazakallah for sharing your day with us sister sanam it was good to read.
my day was a bit off as my husband had to go all the way to blackburn for a funeral and we didn't really enjoy much as we would have done normally.
we got up before fajr to read salaam and dua's. the boy's had a day off school courtesy of eid-e-milad and hubby came home really late so we didn't see him at all on eid!!!

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuA great read sister sanam jazakAllah khayrun for sharing. My 12 Rabi ul awaal was wonderful spent all night in ibadat only slept for couple of hours woke for tahajjud and more recitation of the Quran shareef and dua and salaam was recited at fajar time. Kept a fast as I normally fast on a Monday. Got ready for work and dropped my sons off at school hectic day at work. Attended milad mehfil at my local mosque hosted by the Imam sahibs wife an alima MashAllah. Good turnout about 500 women and screaming kids, it was so great to see the young girls doing tilawat e Quran and naaths, many of who were fasting were given dates and maghrib salaah was read, dua is done and I leave decided to miss the langar as the shoving that was going on made me lose my appetite Today al hamdulilla Milad shareef/Ghiyarvee shareef mehfil was arranged where 34 of us contributed towards the food was held at our Mosque once again very good turnout and lots of Darood sharef, naaths in praise of our Madni Aqa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam were recited. Come on brothers this thread is just proving to be one sided and its the sisters that seem to be attending Milad mehfils Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuCome on people, get posting! I'll go next... Erm, where shall I start from…(thinking) (still thinking) (more thinking) (pick a day…any day) I will start with Monday…the day we held a Mehfil e Milaad at our house, by we I mean, the ladies in my house…and by my house, I actually mean my parents. Monday…. First of all Jashne E Milaad un Nabi Mubarak to all, Mashallah Our Hazoor e Akram Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallamwere born on a Monday, its going to be the 12th night tonight, followed by Eid tomorrow…Yayyyyyyy! Lots to do… First of all, I wanted to wear one of those badges, the ones were it says Jashn e Eid Milaad Un Nabi, and it has a picture of the Ghumbad e Khizraa Shareef, so I went and took it out of the cupboard…and Mashallah we have so many of those, we have the Nalain Paak ones too, My Mum gifted me a silver Nalain Paak, and obviously Im still over the moon! I pinned them both on. The plans of the day was to, finish a Quraan Shareef off, followed by a speech on Seerat e Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, and then Hamd & Naat Shareefs, concluded by a Dua and Salaat O Salaam! And Oh yes the food…to eat plenty of that…and then in the evening they were holding a Mehfil in the Mosque, and I definitely wanted to be there for that. We invited all the local ladies, which were mostly Syeds, Jazakallah Khairan to them for making this Mehfil one of the best ones Mashallah, we finished the Quraan Shareef by 12pm, which was great we started off at half nine in the morning. After that I just did a little speech on the importance of loving our Hazoor e Paak Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, I was sooo nervous, as I’ve never done a speech before, I mean I can talk for England when I get started on a subject, but to talk about someone so blessed and beyond my reach, I just couldn’t find the right words, Alhamdulillah I did it! Next the Hamd Shareef, I started of reading the Hamd Shareef, while my Mum and Sister n Laws were helping out in the kitchen, I stared with Allah Sohnay Deyaan Zikraa Mein Bismillah, (it was in Urdu………I can read…..Hurray) Mashallah it was recited by everyone in the room, I couldn’t stop glancing at everyone because there were so many Syedahs there Mashallah! and the way it was recited was absolutely spiritually uplifting! Followed by Naat Shareefs by some of the Sweet Sisters that attended, they had beautiful voices, Mashallah! Then I read a few more Naat Shareefs and then it was concluded with a Dua, which Alhamdulillah I wrote myself, believe it or not, I’m so chuffed because I cant really write Urdu and when I speak it I sound like a lost foreigner but Alhamdulillah it was so good, Inshallah I will share it here Food glorious Food…we had ghosht with roti, and there was kheer, mitay chawwal and brown rice, pakoray, and loads of fruit, there was loads I cant remember what what, to be exact, lol but it was all good….and no I did not have loads of everything! So after I ate, and the ladies left, the men had disappered Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala knows where too, so me and my Sis n law get clearing(they probaly knew, they might need to help clear up) Later on I tag along with my Abu Jee and brother to the Mosque, one of the aunty jees bought a roti in with the name Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam on, and it was so crystal clearly written, Subhanallah! And it just looked like it was freshly made! So I stay till late in the Masjid as my brother helps serving, and then I decide to do the hoover in the Mosque, as theres nothing like gaining Sawaab Inshallah, and then another Sister wants to do it, because she too also wants to gain blessings in cleaning the house of Allah Ta’lah, (Inshallah I should do this more often) When the Mehfil had finished at the Masjid we come back home, and then I stay up and read Quraan Shareef, and cry my heart out whilst doing lots of Dua, Kuch Aisa Mehsoos Ho Raha Hai Hazoor Tashreef Laa Rahe Hain!Jashn e Aamad e Nabi, Marhaba! Marhaba! Aagaye Mustafa, Marhaba! Marhaba! Jazakallah Khairan for reading my extremly long day, May Allah Ta'lah reward you all, Ameen! With the blessings of this great month May Allah Ta'lah keep you all happy, Ameen! Fi Aminillah Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
