Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Today we had Milaad party at our Islamic Class at mosque and we had to dress in our best clothes, so I wore green imama shareef, white jubba and big Nalaine Paak badge. My brother wore salwar kameez and black imama shareef.
They started with reading of Quran and the elder children did zikar, the children read naat turn by turn, we had food kebabs, drinks, chocolates, and crisps,
Then it was time to announce the winner for best dressed person and I WON I was given a trophy my brother was mardy because he did not win. I came home my mum had khatam for the ladies and I could hear them reading naats then my massi asked if I could read Noor Wala Aya hai so I did in front of 30 ladies then I had to go to cricket training
The End thank you for reading.
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamMy milad Mehfil/khatam for sisters 15/03/2009It all began at fajar this morning when the rest went to sleep after fajar I made my way to the kitchen which I stayed until midday ;D I am expecting many sisters around 11am my mum, sister, sister in laws, massi's and friends of mine and my sisters friends. My friend Nasreen arrived early to help with the cooking. First to arrive was my sister and my aunt (her mum in law) followed by my dear mum and neice. by midday all my guests have arrived some of them an hour late!! we completed recitation of surah yaseen, various naath shareef were read followed by a lenghthy dua by my sister (forum members were remembered too). The food is served, when the older sisters left the younger ones decided to stay behind and recite naaths at the requests of others which was very good. By 4pm all my guests have left and am left to tidy up I made several trips to my family to distribute the niyaaz. Al hamdulilla a beautiful mehfil and beautiful weather to go with it and it was extra special to see my mum sat with her 2 sisters considering her illness she still looked cheerful MashAllah please do continue to remember my mum and all the sick in your duas throughout this blessed month Next please... Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

sister hajan what on earth is the spitting thing that you are talking about Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuYou dont know the spit thing, what planet are you on Sweet Sis? everyone knows it (even the men...hence Brother Imrans comments) the old ladies spit on you...tu tu, so that you dont get Nazar (they can just do the easy thing and just say Mashallah, but they mostly do the spit thing & some even do both) I think its a cultural thing Fi Aminillah Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhutoday is the day that i get to see the blessed muiy mubarak in this very blessed month. my diary.... woke up this morning to umar screaming in the baby monitor and me having a very stiff neck pick up mister strong lungs (umar) and take him into the kitchen for some breakfast turns out the elder two have had biscuits for breakfast and one is playing with the DS and the other with the laptop (we didn't even have these kinds of things to play with at their age ) for once their not fighting and there's peace in my house feed umar and then bathe and change him ready for our outing today and dress him in the cutest little kameez and trouser as the shalwar was too long. get all the other two ready and then go for a shower myself and then wake up hubby as it's 11:30 and we want to get going soon. he gets up and we get a call that someone wants to buy my 7 seater (do dua that we get rid of it soon please). hubby comes back in half an hour later by which time i've finished feeding the kids and we're completely set to go. lovely day so we ditch the coats and just go in our shalwar kameezs (me in my jilbaab) we even have the sunroof open once we get to the house the women are doing ziyarat so i go straight in and a lady is making a very heart warming dua which i join in Alhamdollilah. that finishes and i step back out and greet sister tasleem who has come with her little beauty aaminah and i have to say she is gorgeous Mashallah nazar naa lag jayae the men go in and we can hear them reading salaam and naats and it's just a lovely feeling sitting in the house with such barakaat and to know that the blessed muiy mubarak reside here all year long. we are served kheer and umar jee scoffs most of mine the older two are behaving very well and are in the front with the men. umar gets restless and starts showing off to all the women by crawling around and sitting in anyone's lap that he can find (show off ) i get another chance to go in and see the muiy mubarak again so escort umar to his dad and get to make a nice long dua and i remembered all of you so don't ask!!! nearly time to go home and i say bye to everyone and i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed it. sorry for being a bit longer than i anticipated ;D

your Sister has chose a lovely name Mashallah! (AKA Mensa) Mensa? Although if she is as clever as my eldest daughter she'd probaly become a member of mensa without too much dificulty.
