Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHRamadan Mubarak!!! It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) was the most generous amongst all the people and his generosity was most evident in the month of Ramadaan, at the time when he used to meet with Jibraeel alaihis salaam, and he would meet with Jibraeel (alaihis salaam) on every night of Ramadaan and recite the Quran. When the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) used to meet with Jibraeel (alaihis salaam), he used to be even more generous than excessive wind.” (Bukhari)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHAbu Hurayrah Radi Allahu anhu reports from our Beloved Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, that he said, 'Allah says, 'Every deed of Ibne Aadam (son of Aadam) is for him, except for fast. Verily, fasting is for me, and I shall (personally) apportion out the reward for it."' It is further said, "For a fasting person, there are two pleasures, which please him. When he eats upon completing the fast, he becomes happy, and when he will meet his Lord he will be pleased due to his fast." (Bukhaari)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Subhan Allah Al-Humdolillah, A good thread, brother Zuhair Nasir. Here is my contribution. As reported by Abu Huraira Radi Allahu anhu, Our beloved Prophet Sayyedina Muhammad Mustufa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said; Every Noble deed of a man is counted, for one good deed, up to a seven hundred deeds are recorded. With he exception of fasting, because Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says that Fasting is for \him and He Himself is its reward. The Faster abstains himself from food, drink , and sexual desire for Him. There are two times to rejoice for a faster-- the time of Iftaar (breaking fast) and the time of his meeting Almighty Allah. The unpleasant smell of the faster's mouth is, more fragrant and pleasing to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, than the scent of Musk. Fasting is a protective. When someone from among you keeps fast, he should not indulge in shameful talk and idle gossip. if someone frights or hurls abuse at him, he should say that he is fasting. (Bukhari -Muslim)

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah ( Radi Allahu anhu), the Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: "Fasting is not only to restrain from food and drink, fasting is to refrain from obscene (acts). If someone verbally abuses you or acts ignorantly towards you, say (to them) 'I am fasting; I am fasting.” (Ibn Khuzaimah)

Assalaamu alaykum,
Abu Huraira (radi allahu anho) reports that the blessed Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, 'All the good deeds of son of Adam (Alaihissalam) are increased from ten to seven hundred times except for fasting Allah (Subhanu wa ta’ala) says; it is for Me and i alone will reward it as i wish since he has given up his food and passions for my pleasure. There are two joys for the fasting person; a joy at time of breaking the fast and a joy at the time of meeting his Lord. For his Lord the bad breath of his mouth is better than the odour of musk.' It is reported in Tibrani and Ibn Majah Sahih, Hazrat Abdullah Ibn E Umar radiallaho ta'ala anhuma narrates that Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, "Allah and his angels send blessings (durood) on those that eat a morning meal before fasting (Sehri)."

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH"It is on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said,” If a person (Muslim) keeps fast for one day solely for the pleasure of Allah, then Almighty Allah will keep him such a vast distance away from hell, as if he started to fly from childhood until he became old. (In other words, this is how far away he would be kept from Jahanum, the distance covered in flying for all his life) (Baihaqi)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHThe Ramadan nightly prayer has a special merit over other nights. The Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: "Whoever observes night prayer in Ramadan as an expression of his faith and to seek reward from Allah, his previous sins will be blotted out."
