Assalamualikum In a Hadith e Qudsi, RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam narrates that Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta‘alah) has stated “All acts of Ibn Adam (humans) are for himself but Fasting, as Fasting is only for Me and I give his reward (or it can also be read as ‘I will be his reward’).”

A’Hadiths Guidance from The Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Hadrat Umar bin Al-KhattabRadi Allahu anhu reported: ‘The Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said, "The deeds are considered by the intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intention. So whoever emigrated for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration will be for Allah and His Messenger; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration would be for what he emigrated for". Related by Bukhari and Muslim.
Commentary:
The reward of each and every act depends entirely upon the intention which inspired the act. Thus only those deeds which are done with the sole intention to earn the Pleasure and Good Will of Allah Subhanah will be acceptable to the Lord Most Gracious…..but a deed, however noble it may seem, if done with the intention of anything else other than earning the Pleasure and Good Will of the Lord would not be eligible to earn any rewards in the Presence of the Lord on the Day of Judgment.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said that your Lord said, "Every (sinful) deed can be expiated; and the fast is for Me, so I will give the reward for it; and the smell which comes out of the mouth of a fasting person, is better in Allah's Sight than the smell of musk." Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As: Allah's Apostle Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam said to me, "O 'Abdullah! Have I not been informed that you fast during the day and offer prayers all the night." 'Abdullah replied, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam !" The Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam said, "Don't do that; fast for few days and then give it up for few days, offer prayers and also sleep at night, as your body has a right on you, and your wife has a right on you, and your guest has a right on you. And it is sufficient for you to fast three days in a month, as the reward of a good deed is multiplied ten times, so it will be like fasting throughout the year." I insisted (on fasting) and so I was given a hard instruction. I said, "O Allah's Apostle Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam ! I have power." The Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam said, "Fast like the fasting of the Prophet Dawood alayhis 'salam and do not fast more than that." I said, "How was the fasting of the Prophet of Allah, Dawood alayhis 'salam ?" He said, "Half of the year," (i.e. he used to fast on every alternate day). Afterwards when 'Abdullah became old, he used to say, "It would have been better for me if I had accepted the permission of the Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam (which he gave me i.e. to fast only three days a month). [Volume 3, Book 31, Number 196: Bukhaari]

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was the most generous of people in charity, but he was even more generous in the month of Ramadan. Angel Gabriel (peace be upon him) used to meet him every year during the month of Ramadan until it ended, so that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) could recite the Qur'an to him; and when Gabriel met Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) he was more generous in giving charity than the blowing wind. (Muslim)

Abu Umaamah (Radi Allahu anhu) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam , tell me of an action by which I may enter Paradise. He Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam said: Take to Fasting, there is nothing like it. [An-Nasaa’ee, Ibn Hibbaan, Al-Haakim, Saheeh]

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) (P.B.U.H) said " There are two pleasures for the fasting person, one at the time of Iftar, and the other at the time when he will meet his Lord; then he will be pleased because of his fasting."
