Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHHazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) reported the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as saying, "That person who has in his possession gold and silver that is Zakaatable and he does not pay the Zakaat that is due, then on the day of Qiyaamat, this gold and silver will be turned into branding Irons, which will he heated in the fire of Hell. Then such a person's sides, forehead and back will be branded with the burning Irons. When it cools, then the irons will be heated again in the fire of Hell and used to brand him. This will go on continuously." (Muslim Shareef)

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Ibn 'Umar Radi Allahu anhu said, "The Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam made incumbent on every male or female, free man or slave, the payment of one Saa` of dates or barley as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (or said Sadaqa-Ramadan)." The people then substituted half Sa' of wheat for that. Ibn 'Umar Radi Allahu anhu used to give dates (as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr). Once there was scarcity of dates in Medina and Ibn 'Umar Radi Allahu anhu gave barley. 'And Ibn 'Umar Radi Allahu anhu used to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr for every young and old person. He even used to give on behalf of my children. Ibn 'Umar Radi Allahu anhu used to give Sadaqatul-Fitr to those who had been officially appointed for its collection. People used to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (even) a day or two before the 'Eid. [Bukhari]

Hazrat Abu Amamah (Radi Allahu Anhu) reported that the Prophet (Sall Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said, "Anyone who keeps "alive" the two nights of Eid (i.e- the eve of Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha) by remaining awake in the worship of Allah (azza wa jal), his heart will be alive on that day when every heart will be dead."

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHAllah’s Messenger (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of ‘Id-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas (radiallahu ‘anhu) also narrated: The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) used to eat odd number of dates. Hadeeth 2.73 (Al-Bukhaari)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHThe Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, has said:
Whoever completes fasts of Ramadan then adds to them the fast of six days in the month of Shawwal, it will carry the thawab of fasting for the whole year. (Sahih Muslim)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH[glow=red,2,300] Ramdan Mubarak To All Forum Members ! [/glow] It is reported in Bukhari and Muslim that Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, "The reward for each deed done by the children of Adam is multiplied, and the reward given is between 10 and 700 times greater. Allah Ta'ala says, "Except for fasting. Because a person that fasts is giving up his desires and giving up food for Me. There are two joys for the person that fasts. The first is when he breaks his fast in the evening and the second is when he shall meet his Lord." The smell of the breath of one who is fasting is more liked by Allah Ta'ala than Musk (fragrance) and fasting is a restriction. When one of you is fasting, do not partake in idle chat and do not cause disturbance. If someone swears at you, tell that person that you are fasting." (Bukhari and Muslim)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Subhan Allah Al-Humdolillah, A good thread, brother Zuhair Nasir. Here is my contribution. As reported by Abu Huraira Radi Allahu anhu, Our beloved Prophet Sayyedina Muhammad Mustufa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said; Every Noble deed of a man is counted, for one good deed, up to a seven hundred deeds are recorded. With he exception of fasting, because Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says that Fasting is for \him and He Himself is its reward. The Faster abstains himself from food, drink , and sexual desire for Him. There are two times to rejoice for a faster-- the time of Iftaar (breaking fast) and the time of his meeting Almighty Allah. The unpleasant smell of the faster's mouth is, more fragrant and pleasing to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, than the scent of Musk. Fasting is a protective. When someone from among you keeps fast, he should not indulge in shameful talk and idle gossip. if someone frights or hurls abuse at him, he should say that he is fasting. (Bukhari -Muslim) Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhumashallah sister a very educational post i am learning all the time when reading these hadiths so jazakallah for sharing them with us.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAHHazrat Abu Hurairah radiallaho ta'ala anhu narrates, Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam prayed the khutbah and then said, "I swear by Him in whose control is my life." He said this three times and then lowered his blessed head, so the companions also lowered their heads and started crying. We did not know why Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam had taken an oath. Then Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam raised his blessed head, there was rays of happiness on his blessed face and he said, "The person that prays all five Namaz, fasts in Ramadhan, and pays the Zakat on his wealth, and saves himself from large sins (Kabeera Gunah), the doors of paradise are opened for him and he is told to enter paradise with peace." (Nisa'ee Shareef )

Hazrat Ibn E Abbas radiallaho ta'ala anhuma narrates that the Master of Madinah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, "When the people that fast get out of their graves on the day of judgement, the sweet smell of musk (fragrance) will be coming out of their mouths. A table spread from paradise will be placed before them on which they will eat and they will all be under the shade of the Throne of Allah Ta'ala (Arsh)."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Hazim ibn Dinar from Sahl ibn Saad As-Saidi that the Messenger of Allah ( Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) said: "People will remain in good [in peace and prosperity] as long as they are quick to break the fast.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam as saying, "Every (good) deed a son of Adam does will be multiplied, a good deed receiving a tenfold to seven hundredfold reward. Allah has said, "With the exception of fasting, for it is done for my sake and I give a reward for it. One abandons his passion and his food for my sake. The one who fasts has two occasions of joy, one when he breaks his fast and one when he meets his Lord. The bad breath of one who fasts is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. Fasting is a protection (i.e. from acts of disobedience in this world and from Hell in the next), and when the day of the fast of any of you comes he must not use vile languages or raise his voice and if anyone reviles him or tries to fight with him he should tell him he is fasting, "(Bukhari Sharif, Muslim Sharif)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH
When the angel Gabriel asked the Prophet ( Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) about Islam, he replied: “Islam is to bear witness that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is the Messenger of Allah, to establish prayer, to pay charity, to fast the month of Ramadan, and to perform pilgrimage to the House if you are able to make the journey.”
